Bangkok Day 3!
We planned to visit the gym room in the morning. However, i din prepare any work out wear for this trip. So three of us changed the plan to have a morning swim at the swimming pool (level 5). This is so relaxing! Booked this hotel is super good choice that we have made.
So, after the morning swim, we all went back to our hotel to take a bath and also get most of our stuff packed. We booked the taxi to pick us up at 12noon. So we only have 2 hours (10am-12noon) to walk around to get our breakfast.
we decided to go MCD!
Me with my Samurai pork burger and the tuna pie plus a cup of coffee. #icantlivewithoutcoffee.
MCD Thai has a lot special pies wheher Malaysia only has those applepie/pineapple pie those thing. I hardly take any pie in MCD Malaysia.
after that, we decided to go to 7-11 again! Since that we will have the taxi to send us to the Bangkok City Hotel, so i think that i should buy all the souvenir first.
There is 40+ colleagues in my group. Couldnt afford to get keychain for each of them. Food will do. Besides this is really light-weighted and easier for me to pack. :)
Spotted a lot colourful taxi around Thailand. Speaking about Taxi, they uses all kind of imported cars (Toyota) as taxi where in Malaysia you will see Proton cars around. Laugh.
Reached the Bangkok City Hotel aroundd 3pm. Again, we booked a single room for 3 people.
Their service is quite good and first impression to this hotel seems ok!
both of them doing the check in again!
The hotel offers breakfast and you also can have your dinner there.
saw this corner where they provides private tour service too!
We booked our taxi to airport from this counter. Charged at 400 baht :)
The price list offered by them.
This is our room. A bit not used to it as we stayed in a bigger room in Pattaya :D
One thing that is good is they all have safety deposit box. We put our valuable things and also some of the cash inside. It is good that we can budget our spend for everyday and keep the balance inside the safety deposit box. We dont bring our passport out too! Just like my bff said, if really got caught, we just ask the police to follow us back to the hotel to check on our passport. LOL
This is our room number! My colleagues actually coming to Bangkok on the same day and they also staying in the same hotel with me. What a coincidence, they also stayed in level 11!
The hotel gives us the map! Next plan is to think of a place for dinner!
So i asked the tripadvisor for advice :D
At last, we decided to go to the Asiatique the Riverfront!
The receptionist told us to use the sky train from Ratchadewi station. We can walk to the skytrain station within 5-10minutes. From the hotel, walk out and turn right and go straight down the road.
Here is the Ratchadewi station. There are quite a few ways to get to Asiatique but the easiest and most cost effective would probably be to take the BTS to Saphan Thaksin Station and take the free shuttle boat service at Sathorn Pier.
We have to change our thai baht into coins first then queue up to buy the ticket. So the steps is, you know where you want to go and the fare that cost for the ticket. Press on the fare price example Shaphan Taksin needs 27baht. So press on 27 and start put in 27 baht and get up ticket.
This is the ticket with the BTS stations map.
There are directions showing the way to Sathorn Pier.
The operating hour, just for your reference hehe
Camwhoring!
Finally reached the Asiatique! It was a place recommended by Syndy's ex-unimate. It is another place for shopping, food and also you can go for the Calypso Show here! Previously it was shown at Asia Hotel and now they moved to Asiatique. We are not going to see any Calypso Cabaret show as the ticket price cost 900baht. I would like to save that money for shopping. Laugh.
There is a "Juliet Love Garden" in the middle of Asiatique.
The weather isnt that good! It starts to rain after 10 mins later. Glad that we reach the Asiatique earlier! Since that it is raining, so we shall sit down and dine first! We were hungry already! We did not have any lunch after our Brunch at MCD this noon.
We ordered the set of grill pork with salad! The grilled pork is super nice and must try in Bangkok!
I picked the grilled pork with the papaya salad.
Some artistic shot, from the eye of my iPhone.
Spotted cute doggies with doggie's outfit.
After walking across a few warehouse, we stopped at an icecream shop to relax.
Me, looking quite pale already.
There is a Ferris wheel at the ASiatique.
A panaroma shot to end this post.
Ps: all pictures are taken using my iphone4s.
Xoxo, kelyn
